“ We went there around 8 and ordered the fish curry mee, squid curry mee, vegetable curry mee and a Lor Mee. Everything was so delicious and food came out really quick! The broth was so rich. The squid was well marinated/cooked and so flavourful. Definitely worth a try! ”

“ Our third visit in a short span of two weeks. This tells how impressed we are of CCWok! The Rockling Fish Fillet Curry Mee that we had in our first visit (have forgotten to take pictures) is such a delight. The fish is fresh and beautifully fried. The portion is very generous. I have never had anything like that before. Completely carried away. The Iced Hor Ka Sai too is uniquely and pleasantly flavoured. The NaCCi Lemak - Mackeral that we ordered in our third visit again lives up to expectations. The mackeral is fried just right. The coconut milk is just enough to leave a subtle flavour in the rice, not too much, not too little. I love as much the comfort of the sofa seats, as the excellent view from the window seats. The “books corner” is icing on the cake. Highly recommend. ”
“ Broth based dishes are difficult to make - needs the right ingredients, good technique and perfect timing & patience to bring out the flavours. But CCWOK delivered on two broth based noodles here - Loh Mee and Jawa Mee! The Lor Mee is close to the authentic Penang taste! The broth is perfectly rich and thick, chilli perfect to complement; I would ask for some garlic blend/sauce but the vinegar provided is good enough! The thinly sliced fish cakes, stewed pork & braised egg is just nice. This is a challenging dish to make and it is well done! Jawa Mee - and again the tomato gravy is authentic and so close to the Northern (Penang) style taste. Potato cubes, tofu, nuts, lime it’s all there. The only thing not there is the crispy cucur udang fritters but it was replaced with fried bean curd? I was touched that the cook/boss cared to serve the crispy fritters separately so it’s not soaked and softened in the gravy. I would dine regularly just for the Loh Mee. And the Jawa Mee confirms CCWOK’s ability to deliver (amazing) Malaysian food. I’ve not got the time to taste other dishes on the menu but I’m convinced they will be all fantastic. Looking forward to my next trip back again! ”

“ I literally almost cried when I tasted their food because of the childhood nostalgia from remembering the amazing flavours I loved from Malaysia. I seriously thought (and accepted) that it was impossible to get truly authentic Malaysian food here because it was too hard - perhaps you can't get the ingredients here or it was too expensive to use etc, but I'm so freaking pleasantly surprised and thankful to be proven wrong! Thank you Miss/Sir/Aunty/Uncle chef(s), you are truly masters of the cuisine, thank you for the care and respect you have for your craft, please know how much you're appreciated, I'm so thankful I found you, you will now be our first choice for any Malaysian food!
